Short version: no account, no email, no wallet connection, no ads, no tracking cookies. The game keeps a random save code in your browser and your game progress on our server.

1. In your browser (localStorage)

Your save code: a random code that holds your progress. It is not linked to your name, email or wallet.
The name and color you picked, the skins you own, your sound and auto-tongue settings, and the previous save code if you loaded another one.
While a tab is open, a small note (sessionStorage) that the site already reloaded itself for an update, so it doesn't reload again.

You can delete all of this by clearing the site data in your browser. Copy your save code first if you want to keep your progress.

2. On our server

Game progress, stored under your save code: level, XP, skill points, items, equipment and skins you bought.
While you are online, your name, color and position in the river are shared with everyone playing. That is the game: other players see your pepe and its name.
Your IP address is used in memory only, to limit connections and shop orders per network and keep bots and attacks out. We don't store it with your progress.
Server logs: short technical lines about errors, a once-a-minute player count and shop sales (with their public transaction signature). They don't include your save code. Our host keeps these logs, and its own standard request logs, for a limited time.

3. Shop payments are public

Skins are paid in SOL on the Solana blockchain, which is public. Anyone can see the paying wallet, the amount, the time and the order reference, forever. We keep a record of each order and sale (order reference, save code, skin, amount, time and transaction signature) so we can deliver skins, fix problems, handle refunds and keep our accounts. Paying from a wallet links that wallet to your save code in our records. We never connect to your wallet and never ask you to sign anything.

4. Other services

Cloudflare hosts the site and the live river. Like any host, it processes your IP address to deliver the pages.
Google Fonts: the site loads its fonts from Google, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it downloads them.
Solana RPC provider: the server asks a Solana node which payments reached the shop wallet. Only public blockchain data is involved.
Your wallet app is yours: it has its own privacy rules, and we don't receive anything from it besides the public payment.

5. Keeping and deleting

Game progress is kept while the game runs. Order and sale records are kept as long as accounting and tax law require. You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete a profile, by writing to the official contact. We will never ask for your save code in a DM.

6. Age

PEPE RIVER is meant for people 18 or older.
